PREA Resource Center

The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Resource Center (PRC), created in 2010, provides training, technical assistance, and resources to state and local corrections agencies, juvenile detention facilities, and community confinement centers to help them comply with PREA standards.
The PRC's training and technical assistance initiatives provide crucial guidance to state, local, and tribal agencies as they work to achieve sexual safety and implement the PREA Standards in their facilities, including adult prisons and jails, juvenile facilities, community confinement facilities, lockups, and tribal facilities. The PRC serves as an essential hub of information and resources for agencies working to implement the PREA Standards. It connects agencies to free training and technical assistance offered through the Site-Based Technical Assistance program upon request and maintains a robust library of resources.
